Training

We provide in-house, high-quality tailored training to meet the needs of your staff and students exploring learner voice, student engagement and student representation.  Whether it’s training your Course Reps, elected officers, student volunteers or tutors and support staff, we’ll create a bespoke session that’s relevant to your College and your students and staff.  We are also available to facilitate away days and planning sessions.

​We also deliver Lead and Change training for student leaders and campaigners in Colleges on behalf of the National Union of Students (NUS) and Learner Voice training for staff through the Association of Colleges (AoC).

Consultancy

Our consultancy service can provide you with anything from a half-day planning session to longer-term ongoing support and specialises in:

​Developing learner voice frameworks and structures

  • Strategy/planning

  • Students' Union set up and development

  • Planning and creating resources

  • engagement and representation mechanisms

  • writing training

  • Facilitating planning sessions

  • Support with student research

  • Officer and rep support

  • Campaign planning

  • Charity Commission registration

  • Policy and procedure writing

​The types of packages we could provide include:

  • Officer support – a half termly or termly day with officers to support them with campaigns, projects and events.  It could also include some training depending on the needs of those officers.  This is a great option for those Union’s with limited resources and limited staff support.

  • Learner voice development – a tailored package of three days upwards focusing on developing representation structures and strategy.

  • Students’ Union development – from those setting up a Students’ Union for the first time to those more established unions looking to develop further we can offer support with structures, strategy, Charity Commission registration and policy and procedure development.
